The Cincinnati Herald

Board of Elections Director Amy Searcy has resigned her position to become the newest member of Hamilton County’s Common Pleas Court. Governor Kasich appointed Searcy judge on May 29 to the Domestic Relations Court. She began her role as Judge on June 2.

“As a former Public Defender, Magistrate and Director of the Board of Elections, I have faced and overcome many challenges,” said Searcy. “I am looking forward to meeting this new challenge as Judge head-on.”

Searcy, as a former magistrate in Hamilton County Municipal Court, has 6 years of judicial experience. Director Searcy has been at the Board of Elections since 2009.

“Families matter, and I look forward to applying my unique experience and qualifications to Domestic Relations Court and helping Hamilton County’s families,” said Searcy.

Searcy is on the Board of Trustees for Talbert House, member of the Cincinnatus Association, graduate of the JoAnn Davidson Leadership Institute, and member of the Citizens on Patrol. She lives in Crosby Township with her husband. Searcy is the mother of two adult children and grandmother to five.
